another summer reading list

note to self (and to the nine or 10 people who tell me they irregularly read this blog, which is really just stuff I post from e-books or online journals so later on I can read it on my blackberry when I’m stuck in traffic or in some pointless corporate policy meeting):


go to novelist tom mcgonigle’s for his reading lists and comments on european literature. besides being a distinguished novelist in his own write (har! the joycean pun is appropriate, given his skill with stream-of-consciousness narration), mcgonigle is one of a handful of north americans who regularly read and think intelligently about what the rest of the world is writing.
